I found Temple Inland Mortgage very difficult to work with and either incompetent or un scrupulous. Nonetheless, I was treated very well by AAMI and received excellent service and I'm very happy with the loan.
Rick Elmendorf was my loan officer and he did a superb job in handling our complicated loan arrangements - not only for the purchase of a condo, but also the refinancing or 4 others. I highly commend him as well as Jennifer Hughes!
It was a long process, but Rick gave us a great deal as a mortgage loan and paying off in 22 years, and best of all refinancing gave us extra money to build a 24x28 addition.
Tom Potter was a great help. He was very patient and helpful w/my many questions and concerns.

Service was very personal and caring. The best compliment to you is that the title company lawyer also got the same loan as I did. I know this has to be the best loan because I'm sure he sees many, many loans every day, I never felt rushed and at every step had through explanations at every step.
I admire the patience and overall assistance that Rick Elmendorf provided. I am very grateful that he was able to help me refinance and consolidate all my loans. I'm referring AAMI to people and friends whenever I detect interest in refinancing.
